ANGELINA PLANTATION HOUSE
This is a 160 year old colonial house which was slated for demolition in the city of Castries. This two storeyed villa was purchased from the original owner, dismantled and trucked to Fond Doux, it was then rebuilt and restored by artisans who specialize in the old building techniques.
This Building typifies Caribbean architecture in a beautiful, airy and bright way accented with allusions to the French colonial style including attractive jalousie shutters and exotic touches of white gingerbread on the outside verandas. On the top floor there is a spacious master bedroom and bathroom, on the bottom floor a dining room, bathroom, living room, a divan bed in the living room and an outside kitchen. Prince Charles visited this cottage as part of his official tour of Fonddoux Plantation.
